The Ryderwood History Project began in 2015 when a group of Ryderwood's AMVETS Post 7010 began digitizing photos and documents, collecting and archiving oral and written histories, etc. The group has hosted live interviews and movie showings. Many activities are co-ordinated with the Cowlitz Co. Historical Museum and Cowlitz Co. Historic Preservation Commission. The goal is to discover, collect, preserve and share knowledge about the histories of Ryderwood, Washington.

Breaking News! The Ryderwood History Project is now an officially designated 501 c 3 charitable corporation recognized by the State of Washington and the Internal revenue Service. This means that donations can be tax-deductible. The stated goal of the Project is to establish a Museum in Pioneer Hall. Expect Fund-Raising activities to start soon.
